Karishma wants to do Cage diving with the great white sharks and loves to scuba dive! Her areas of interest include sports, with a special focus on circus/aerial sports, as well as musculoskeletal issues, particularly back and neck pain. She also has a keen interest in pediatric care. With her diverse skill set and expertise, she is well-equipped to assist a wide range of clients with their physiotherapy needs.

My approach to Physiotherapy:

Karishma is a Physiotherapist with special interest in the benefits of pilates exercise for rehabilitation, pain management and long term fitness goals.

Receive hands on manual therapy until you are out of pain and then, if relevent to your recovery, Karishma may create a personalised Pilates treatment plan. Exercise using the trapeze, reformers or stretches can target precise muscle groups to relieve pain, strengthen and improve balance.

What to expect in your first visit?

As holistic practitioners, we take a 'whole-person' approach to consider all aspects of your health.
During the initial assessment, Karishma will ask about your past medical history, family medical history, and current symptoms to determine the cause of the pain.
You will receive hands on treatment in every session to work towards your recovery.
Our providers prefer to use their years (or decades) of expertise to feel whats going on, so we dont require any imaging, X-rays or GP referrals to begin treatment.

How to know if i need Physio or Pilates

The Physiotherapist will help determine if hands on/manual therapy, or a personalised pilates treatment plan will be the best option for your recovery. Typically manual therapy is best whilst you are still in pain and then a Pilates exercise treatment plan can be created for long term strengthening and rehabilitation.

What are your special interests

Karishma's special interests are womens health, TMJ, and sports phyio with a special focus on aerial/circus sports.
Karishma's preferred treatment style is personalised Pilates treatment plans because she has seen the amazing potential for piates to have targeted results in pain releif and strengthening.

Pilates for pregnancy/Post Partum

Pilates is an excellent option for expecting and postpartum mothers! Pregnancy changes your core muscles due to changes in weight, posture and centre of balance. Pilates is a gentle, controlled and versatile method of exercise to strengthen those core muscles. After birth Pilates is also excellent for strengthening the pelvic floor muscles.

"Highly recommend this place for it's one on one physio and for the clinical Pilates classes. All the staff I've dealt with have been amazing and pinpointed the causes of my pain even picking things up before I've had scans etc. Karishma in particular; her good judgement meant something serious was caught early for me so I cannot say enough good things about her skills and professionalism. Thank you 😊"
